Jade Bowers, MPH
Associate Health Scientist
Jade E. Bowers is an epidemiologist with experience applying epidemiological principles and analytical methods to investigate human health outcomes related to infectious disease surveillance and chronic disease prevention. Ms. Bowers’ research encompasses foodborne pathogens including Campylobacter, nutritional epidemiology focusing on dietary patterns like the DASH diet, and chronic disease outcomes such as kidney disease progression. She is skilled in various statistical analyses, including multivariable linear regression, chi-square testing, and advanced causal inference methods like Mendelian Randomization, as well as data management using systems like REDCap and R programming. Her research methodology spans retrospective cohort analyses, standardized epidemiological interviews, and large-scale population database analyses using datasets such as the Million Veteran Program. She has collaboratively worked on multi-disciplinary research teams involving epidemiology, public health surveillance, nutritional science, and causal inference methodology to address complex questions about population health and disease prevention. Ms. Bowers has presented her research at multiple national scientific conferences including the American Society for Nephrology Kidney Week, International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology meetings, and regional public health forums.
“My passion centers on leveraging rigorous epidemiological approaches to uncover the relationships between exposures and disease outcomes. I am motivated by the opportunity to utilize epidemiological data and causal inference techniques to transform complex findings into evidence-based insights that inform public health practice.”
